With just days to the Peoples Democratic Party’s, PDP, National Executive Committee, NEC, meeting, Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, has formally pulled out of all previously agreed peace arrangements.
In a strongly worded statement titled “PDP Crisis: My Position”, Mr Wike declared his intention to, in his own words, ‘fight on until justice is attained,’ accusing party stakeholders of betrayal and bad faith.

He cited the Independent National Electoral Commission’s absence from the party’s North Central zonal congress in Jos, allegedly due to procedural irregularities involving a letter signed by Deputy National Secretary Ude Okoye rather than Senator Samuel Anyanwu, the substantive officeholder.
Mr Wike also accused Governors Seyi Makinde and Peter Mba of reneging on multiple agreements, describing Governor Makinde as the “chief architect” of the PDP’s internal crisis.
He insisted that resolutions recognising Anyanwu as National Secretary and demanding legal withdrawals concerning Rivers State have been flagrantly ignored.
