Nigerian music superstar Wizkid has announced a collaborative project with Afrobeats sensation Asake. Speaking in an interview with Apple Music, Wizkid revealed that the joint body of work, titled Real (Vol. 1), will be released before the end of December.
The announcement has generated widespread excitement among fans, many of whom have been anticipating a major collaboration between the two hitmakers. DJ Tunes also teased one of the tracks, Jogodo, which features Asake delivering smooth Yoruba vocals over a mellow, rhythmic beat.

Wizkid described the forthcoming EP as “for the people,” while Asake’s contribution on Jogodo has already sparked conversations about the duo’s musical chemistry.Although this will be their first joint EP, the pair have worked together before. Asake featured Wizkid on MMS, a track from his 2024 album Lungu Boy, while Wizkid previously named Asake among his top five Nigerian artistes.
