Wizkid Credits Women as His Creative Muse for Hit Songs

Grammy-winning Nigerian artist Ayodeji Balogun, better known as Wizkid, has revealed that women are the inspiration behind his music. In a now-deleted post on X, the afrobeats star wrote, “Women inspire music! Gods on earth.” Known for his romantic songs celebrating women, Wizkid’s work continues to resonate globally.  

Wizkid’s latest album, ‘Morayo’, dedicated to his late mother Morayo Jane Balogun, has broken multiple streaming records. The album recorded 48 million streams within six days on Spotify, surpassing South African singer Tyla’s previous record of 46.4 million streams.

‘Morayo’ also set a new milestone as the African album with the biggest opening week on Spotify, amassing 52.8 million streams in its first week.
