Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State has signed the 2025 appropriation bill, valued at ₦546 billion, into law.
The budget, aptly named ‘Rescue Budget 2.0’, was formally presented to the governor by the Speaker of the Zamfara State House of Assembly on Thursday during a ceremony at the Council Chamber in Gusau’s Government House.
In his remarks, Governor Lawal reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to completing ongoing legacy projects while leveraging the successes achieved over the past 18 months. He described the budget as a critical step in addressing Zamfara’s longstanding infrastructure challenges, promising quality development across the state.

Key allocations in the budget include funding for Gusau International Airport and the construction of the Gusau-Magami to Dansadau Road, both of which are expected to bolster the state’s socio-economic development.
