The World Health Organisation says a drone strike on El-Daein Teaching Hospital in East Darfur, Sudan, killed 64 people, including 13 children, two nurses and a doctor, and injured 89 others during Eid.
The WHO Director-General, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, said the hospital is no longer functioning and called for an end to the conflict, urging protection for civilians and health workers.
Sudan’s army denied responsibility for the attack, while the Rapid Support Forces, which control the area, said an army drone carried out the strike on the facility in el-Daein, the capital of East Darfur state.
