President Muhammadu Buhari approved the release of 314.1 metric tonnes of grains to vulnerable persons living in Nasarawa State.
Zachary Allumaga, Executive Secretary, Nasarawa State Emergency Management Agency (NASEMA), announced that the grains included 151.6 metric tonnes of maize, 100 metric tonnes of sorghum and 62.5 metric tonnes of millet.
Mr Allumaga noted that vulnerable persons in other states had also received grains from the federal government and he thanked President Buhari and the State Governor for their support and passion for vulnerable persons in the society.
He also called on elective and political appointees in the state to be present when the grains are being distributed in their various Local Government Areas.
