Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State is pleading with the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) not to embark on its planned strike.
The NLC had threatened to strike after the price of petroleum went up following the removal of fuel subsidy.
The Governor has called on organised labour to join hands with the government to find ways to cushion the impact of subsidy removal.

He also urged the unions not to politicise the matter.Â
Governor Sanwo-Olu insists that there is no need to heat the polity as NNPC Ltd says there is more than enough petrol in stock.
