Three major illicit drug syndicates have been taken down by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), following various intelligence-led operations across parts of the state.
In the wake of the raid, officials arrested an alleged baroness and four other kingpins and recovered multi-billion naira worth of Cocaine, Opioids and Loud from their hideouts.
A female head of one of the syndicates, Faith Ebele Nwankwo was arrested at her residence in Festac last Wednesday shortly after she returned from a warehouse in Amuwo Odofin where she had reportedly loaded eight cartons of tramadol into an unmarked vehicle.

Authorities say that a search of her residence and the warehouse led to the recovery of over 2.7 million pills of tramaking, a brand of tramadol.Â
The drugs and the vehicle were recovered while the suspect was taken into custody.
