Senator Elisha Abbo has accused Senate President Godswill Akpabio of being behind the appeal court ruling that removed him from office.
Senator Abbo alleged that four other senators who worked against the emergence of Senator Akpabio as Senate President have been targeted for removal through the courts.
In an interview with reporters yesterday, Senator Abbo further alleged that Abia North Senator, Orji Uzor Kalu, is the next target for removal.
Reacting to the allegation, Mr. Eseme Eyiboh, media aide to the Senate President said his principal had no hand in the court judgement which sacked Senator Abbo.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) Senator was sacked from office by the Court of Appeal in Abuja yesterday, after his Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) challenger appealed the lower court’s judgement in his petition.
Amos Yohanna’s petition was initially dismissed for lacking in merit, but the Appeal Court agreed with his argument that based on Section 137 of the Electoral Act, 2022, the results tendered in the election clearly showed that there was no compliance with the law.
The court, thereafter, deducted the invalid votes from the parties and found that Mr Yohanna and the PDP had won the election by majority of lawful votes.
