Senator Ndume Calls For Law to Check Corruption and Unexplained Wealth

With the political rift between between Nyesom Wike, Minister of the FCT, and the Governor of Rivers State, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, his purportedly estranged godson, continuing, the Rivers Ijaw Peoples Congress (RIPCO), has apologised to the Minister for the Governor’s actions.

At the civic reception organised in honour of the former Rivers State governor, at Amadi-Ama, Abuloma, in Okrika Local Government Area of the state, Wike asserted that he made an Ijaw man the state governor due to his love for the ethnic nationality.

Governor Siminalayi Fubara,responding to comments by his predecessor on Sunday at a thanksgiving service in Port Harcourt, to mark Nigeria’s 64th Independence, stressed that among other things, no individual can apologise on his behalf, as he intends to stand on being right.
The RIPCO Director General, Rowland Sekibo called on both parties to sheath their swords in the interest of the state.
