Women Radio 91.7FM, in collaboration with the Centre for Journalism Innovation and Development (CJID), has announced the inaugural AI Radio Summit scheduled for November 16, 2024, in Lagos, Nigeria.
Themed “Smart Radio: Leveraging AI for Next-Gen Broadcasting,” the summit aims to gather thought leaders from the AI technology and broadcasting sectors to discuss how artificial intelligence is transforming radio broadcasting in Nigeria.
Speaking ahead of the summit, Oghenevwairhe Ofigo, the Station’s General Manager, highlighted that the summit will redefine the broadcasting landscape by fostering discussions and collaborations on integrating AI into content creation.
Mr. Akintunde Babatunde, the Director of Programs at CJID, noted that while radio broadcasting has traditionally shaped public understanding, the advent of digital technology has shifted the paradigm.
Mr. Babatunde mentioned that the summit would demonstrate how radio stations can leverage AI to stay ahead in this evolving landscape, building on CJID’s commitment to media innovation in Africa.
