Nigeria is stepping up its push to become West and Central Africa’s digital powerhouse, following renewed collaboration with tech giant Google.
The partnership was reinforced at a high-level workshop held 6–7 May 2025, building on earlier talks with Google CEO Sundar Pichai in Paris.
Led by the National Information Technology Development Agency, NITDA, the initiative targets five core areas: digital infrastructure, skills development, AI innovation, cloud-driven governance, and tech investment.
