Our Fans Didn’t Attack Rangers Team At Stadium Facility – Plateau United

Plateau United Football Club has denied any involvement of its fans in an attack on Rangers International team members following their Nigerian Premier Football League match in Jos on Sunday. The goalless game reportedly ended with an assault on Rangers’ players and coaches, with social media images showing injuries.

Rangers’ General Manager, Amobi Ezeaku, condemned the incident, calling it “unwarranted” and confirmed that the club has submitted a formal complaint to authorities. He pledged to pursue justice for the team.

In response, Plateau United issued a statement asserting that Rangers players and officials safely left the stadium after the match. The Jos club condemned all forms of hooliganism, distancing itself from those allegedly involved in the attack. Both clubs have affirmed their cooperation with authorities as investigations continue.
