Nigeria’s Yellow-Green delivered a resounding 264-run victory over Cote d’Ivoire in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Sub-Regional Africa Qualifier C, continuing their unbeaten streak in the tournament. Opting to bat first after winning the toss, Nigeria piled up a colossal 271/4 in 20 overs, driven by Selim Salau’s explosive century.

Salau smashed an incredible 112 runs off just 53 balls, including 13 boundaries and 2 sixes, setting the tone for Nigeria’s dominant performance. Support came from Sulaimon Runsewe, who scored a steady 50 off 29 balls, and Isaac Okpe’s lightning-fast 65 off 23 balls. Cote d’Ivoire’s lack of bowling discipline contributed 23 extras to Nigeria’s total, compounding their troubles.

In reply, the Ivorian side struggled to find their footing in their maiden international outing. Nigeria’s clinical bowling attack ripped through the opposition, bundling them out for just 7 runs in 7.3 overs. The emphatic victory is a historic moment for Nigeria, marking one of the most one-sided wins in T20 cricket history.
