Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State, on Thursday, said 36 states of the federation had endorsed the creation of state police, following the submission of their reports to the National Economic Council, NEC.
The Governor said this while briefing State House correspondents at the end of 147th NEC meeting chaired by Vice-President Kashim Shettima.

Governor Sani said the states’ decision to support state police was due to the fact that virtually every state had security challenges, and there are a lot of ungoverned territories in the country which could not be covered by the army and other relevant security agencies.
