South African artists Musa Keys and Tyla have earned prestigious Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) certifications in 2024.
Tyla’s chart-topping hit ‘Water’ achieved platinum status, boosted by a remix featuring Travis Scott that peaked at No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100. This milestone makes her the highest-charting solo female African artist in history. Additionally, her debut album ‘Tyla’ secured a gold plaque, while the track ‘Truth or Dare’ from the same album also received gold certification.
Musa Keys gained his first RIAA gold plaque for his contribution to Davido’s global smash hit ‘Unavailable’.
