Enyimba’s winless run extended to five matches on Thursday as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Heartland in their Nigeria Premier Football League matchday 21 clash in Aba.
The visitors struck first, with Daniel Ekpo converting from the penalty spot in the 15th minute to give Heartland an early advantage. However, Enyimba responded shortly after the interval, as Joseph Atule found the net in the 55th minute to restore parity.

Despite their dominance on home soil, the People’s Elephant were unable to break down a disciplined Heartland side, who have now gone three matches unbeaten. Enyimba, by contrast, continue their search for a much-needed victory.
