The Lagos State Government has announced plans to deploy four new Intelligent Transport System (ITS) sites to enhance traffic monitoring and enforce speed regulations. The initiative, which is in collaboration with Huawei Technologies, aims to improve road safety and reduce traffic violations across the state.
Lagos Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi, revealed the new installations would complement existing traffic management tools, such as Automatic Number Plate Recognition cameras and Traffic Management Solution devices. This expanded network is designed to monitor traffic flow and ensure compliance with road safety laws.
