The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has expressed concern over the controversy involving Senate President Godswill Akpabio and Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan of Kogi Central.
Reacting to allegations of sexual harassment made by Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan against the Senate President, the ACF, through its National Publicity Secretary, Professor Tukur Muhammad-Baba, urged the Northern Caucus in the Senate to ensure she receives a fair hearing and due respect.

The forum emphasised the need for the National Assembly to uphold high ethical standards, calling for greater decorum, integrity, and moral responsibility in legislative conduct. It warned that such values appear lacking in the current Senate’s operations.
The ACF stressed that lawmakers must set an example in discipline and comportment, maintaining public confidence in the institution. It urged the Senate to rise above partisan interests and adhere to the principles of justice and accountability.
