Suspended Kogi Central Senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, has taken her case against Senate President Godswill Akpabio and her suspension from the Nigerian Senate to the global stage.
Speaking at the Women in Parliament session at the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) meeting at the United Nations in New York, Senator Natasha described her suspension as illegal and part of a broader challenge faced by women in Nigerian politics.

Responding to her complaint, IPU President Tulia Ackson acknowledged the concerns raised but stressed that the organisation would follow due process by allowing the Nigerian Senate to present its side before taking any action.
