A judge of the Federal High Court in Abuja, Justice Obiora Egwuatu, has stepped down from hearing a case filed by suspended Kogi Central Senator, Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.
Justice Egwuatu’s decision follows a petition from Senate President Godswill Akpabio, who questioned his impartiality in the matter.

The case had been scheduled for hearing on Tuesday, but when it was called, the judge announced his recusal in a brief ruling. He stated that the case file would be returned to the Chief Judge for reassignment to another judge.
