The Kogi State Government has said it will hold Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan responsible for any unrest following her homecoming rally, despite a ban on public gatherings.
The State’s Commissioner for Information Kingsley Fanwo accused the senator of defying the restrictions imposed by Governor Usman Ododo’s administration, alleging she intended to incite violence in Kogi Central.

Despite the ban, large crowds gathered in Ihima, Okehi Local Government Area, to welcome the Peoples Democratic Party senator. Supporters from the five local government areas of Kogi Central turned out from early morning, chanting slogans and celebrating her visit.
The state government has urged security agencies to monitor the situation closely, warning of potential disruptions.
