The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, says no political coalition can unseat President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 elections.
Speaking in an interview monitored by RadioNow’s news desk, Keyamo described the talks of a coalition as a “storm in a teacup,” insisting the structure of the APC is too strong to be shaken.
Keyamo said it is “impossible” to form a merger or alliance now, noting that the process takes years and the timeline is too tight. He recalled how the APC took years to build after the 2011 elections, following meetings between Tinubu and then-General Buhari.

He also argued that any party built around an individual who has never succeeded in winning a national election since 1960, lacks the capacity to unseat the president. He gave examples of Obafemi Awolowo, Peter Obi, and Atiku Abubakar
On the Obidient movement, Keyamo said it lacked the structure to win national elections and pointed to APC’s solid performance in 2023 despite economic challenges.
He also noted that Tinubu has strong support in the North and announced he had handed over APC leadership in Delta State to Governor Sheriff Oborevwori to further strengthen the party.
