Although granted bail last year, Portable had repeatedly failed to attend court, prompting his remand last week.

He was sentenced to one month in prison with a ₦10,000 fine option for the first count, and two months with a ₦20,000 fine option for the second.

The third charge was dismissed.  Police prosecutors had pursued the case since April 2023.
