Singer Portable has defended TikToker Peller following comments by rapper Ycee criticising what he described as the growing “Peller culture” among Nigerian youths.
Ycee, speaking on the Afropolitan podcast, questioned the increasing value placed on online fame over education and singled out Peller as an example. Peller responded by calling the rapper “illiterate” and “very anyhow OG”.
In an Instagram video, Portable accused Ycee of blaming Peller for his own career challenges and said the rapper should take responsibility for his decline.
Portable also claimed that Peller is now more successful than Ycee and challenged the rapper over what he had achieved despite his education.
