Nigeria international Victor Boniface has paid tribute to Bayer Leverkusen manager Xabi Alonso, who is set to leave the Bundesliga leaders at the end of the season.
Alonso, who took charge in 2022 amid the club’s worst start in recent memory, has overseen a remarkable turnaround, guiding Leverkusen to domestic and European prominence. He played a pivotal role in Boniface’s arrival from Union Saint-Gilloise during the 2023 summer window.
