A two-storey building under construction at Otta Ona Junction, near the Mobil Filling Station in Ikorodu, Lagos State, has collapsed, killing three people and injuring several others.
The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency said it activated its emergency response plan immediately after receiving distress calls on Wednesday. Rescue teams from Agbowa, Alausa, and Cappa were deployed to the site.

Three victims, a teenage girl and two adult men, were recovered dead, while nine adult males were rescued and treated by the agency’s Pre-Hospital Care Unit.
The cause of the collapse is still unknown. Authorities have begun an investigation while deconstruction work continues to ensure the site is safe. The operation involved multiple agencies including the Fire Service, Police, and Building Control Agency.
