The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency has publicly destroyed nearly 330,000 kilograms of illicit drugs in Lagos, valued at over 301 billion Naira. NDLEA Chairman Buba Marwa said the court-ordered exercise, held at Navy Town in Ojo, disposed of drugs from concluded cases and abandoned seizures, including cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine, cannabis, tramadol and codeine syrup.
Most of the haul, over 246,000 kilograms, was seized by the Lagos Strategic Command between April 2025 and May 2026, with the rest from airport, seaport and marine commands.
