The Nigerian Air Force says it has destroyed key terrorist strongholds in the Mandara Mountains of Borno State, dealing a significant blow to the Boko Haram faction Jama’atu Ahlis Sunna Lidda’awati wal-Jihad, JAS.
According to Air Commodore Ehimen Ejodame, precision air strikes were carried out on 6 July following intelligence that confirmed increased militant activity, including the presence of senior commanders and stockpiles of logistics.

Targets included fortified camps fitted with solar panels and black flags. Strike aircraft reportedly destroyed command centres, warehouses, and shelters, neutralising several insurgents.
