Super Eagles forward Ademola Lookman has formally asked to leave Atalanta in an effort to push through a summer move to Inter Milan.
According to Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the reigning African Player of the Year, who is frustrated after Atalanta rejected Inter’s latest €45m bid, which included add-ons, has made his intentions clear.

Ademola Lookman took to Instagram to criticise the club, accusing Atalanta of breaking promises and treating him poorly. He said he had been assured he could depart if a suitable offer arrived, but now feels blocked from doing so.
The winger, who helped Atalanta to Europa League glory last season, said it was time for a fresh challenge after three years in Bergamo.
Inter’s previous bids of €40m plus €5m in bonuses and €42m plus €3m, have both been rejected, with Atalanta holding out for €50m.
