Governor Soludo, in his response, thanked the traders for their solidarity, describing their endorsement as a vote of confidence in his administration. He emphasised that his government had funded projects without borrowing and listed initiatives ranging from free maternal healthcare and child delivery to free education, apprenticeship support and youth empowerment schemes.

The endorsement comes as political alignments intensify ahead of the November 8 election.
