The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed that TikTok star Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, is safe after reports claimed he was kidnapped while livestreaming on Wednesday evening.
Police spokesperson Benjamin Hundeyin said that officers were investigating the circumstances of the incident, but confirmed that Peller was at home, unhurt, with his car and belongings intact.

Hundeyin explained that no violence was recorded and all possibilities, including a staged incident or mistaken identity, were being considered. He said the outcome of the investigation would determine the police’s next steps.
Peller, 20, rose to fame in 2021 through comedic skits and livestreams. Video footage circulating online appeared to show him being taken away by men he initially mistook for security operatives.
