The Federal Government has launched the second phase of the Nigeria Jubilee Fellows Programme, NJFP, aimed at creating at least 20,000 jobs each year by linking talented graduates to paid work placements, mentorship, and professional training.
Vice President Kashim Shettima, inaugurating the Project Steering Committee at the Presidential Villa, said the initiative seeks to bridge Nigeria’s learning-to-earning gap, translating the nation’s youth population into economic strength. He urged the committee to prioritise inclusivity and ensure placements across key sectors such as agriculture, technology, manufacturing, and the creative industries.

Backed by the European Union and implemented by the UNDP, NJFP 2.0 builds on the success of the 2022 phase, which placed over 14,000 fellows nationwide. The programme aligns with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda for youth empowerment and job creation.
