At least ten herders have been killed in a reprisal attack on a Fulani settlement in Tilli community, Bunza Local Government Area of Kebbi State. The assault was reportedly carried out by residents who believed Fulani herders were behind the killing of a vigilante member in the area.
According to eyewitnesses, the attack was carried out in error, as the Fulani group was wrongly accused. They said more victims might still be discovered as search efforts continued in the affected settlement.

The national president of the Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association and the Deputy Governor of Kebbi State, Senator Umar Tafida, have visited the community to condole with the families of those killed.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer in Kebbi, CSP Nafiu Abubakar, said he was unaware of the incident but promised to investigate and provide updates.
