PDP Postpones Screening of Convention Aspirants, Cites ‘Unforeseen Circumstances’

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has postponed the screening of aspirants ahead of its 2025 National Convention, citing what it labelled as ‘unforeseen circumstances.’ The exercise, earlier scheduled for October 28, has been put on hold by the National Convention Organising Committee chaired by Governor Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State.

In a statement, the party apologised for any inconvenience and assured members that a new date would be announced soon. Fintiri reaffirmed the committee’s commitment to delivering a credible and hitch-free convention, now set for 15th and 16th November in Ibadan, Oyo State.
