Gunmen have abducted eleven residents of Ungwan Nungu in Bokana Ward, Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State. The victims were taken on Saturday evening while returning from their farms, causing tension across the community.
Residents said the attackers first targeted about fifteen people along a bush path. Some escaped, while others were released. Eleven remain in captivity, including teenagers gathering beans at the time of the attack. The kidnappers are demanding five million naira.
The incident created fear in neighbouring villages, with families spending the night unsure of the fate of their loved ones. Community members described the atmosphere as tense and worrying.

In a statement, the member representing Jema’a and Sanga Federal Constituency, Daniel Amos, condemned the attack and called it cruel. He urged residents to stay calm and law-abiding, and appealed to security agencies to step up surveillance, gather intelligence and launch a coordinated rescue effort.
