The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) says troops rescued 318 kidnapped victims and eliminated scores of terrorists and bandits in coordinated nationwide operations last month.
The operations also saw the destruction of illegal oil-refining sites, the seizure of stolen crude oil, and the surrender of dozens of criminal elements.
In some theatres of operation, air-and-ground strikes destroyed terrorist camps and disrupted logistics networks; in the Niger Delta region, oil theft worth more than ₦217.6 million was foiled.

The DHQ hailed the success of the operations as a major boost to national security and called on Nigerians to continue providing actionable intelligence to help sustain the momentum.
