The Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has invited business leader Aliko Dangote to appear before its investigators in Abuja.
The commission said it received a petition from Dangote alleging corruption and financial mismanagement by the former managing director of the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority, Ahmed Farouk.
ICPC officials said Dangote may attend in person or be represented by his lawyer to formally adopt and support the petition.

The anti-graft body established a special panel to handle the case and has called for all parties to be accorded fair hearing. Farouk resigned his position earlier this month.
