Portable Accuses Olamide of Blacklist Plot

Nigerian singer Portable has accused rapper Olamide of being involved in discussions to have him blacklisted from the music industry. The allegation follows claims made on Monday by content creator Tunde Perry that Portable’s conduct was discussed at a meeting involving industry stakeholders and international promoters.

Perry said participants at the meeting expressed concern that the singer’s behaviour was affecting opportunities for emerging artistes. He also alleged that Olamide had become cautious about supporting new talent following his experience with Portable.

In a series of posts on Instagram, Portable rejected the claims, saying his career is sustained by his fans and not by industry figures. He stated that he was not signed to Olamide’s label and that their collaboration on the 2021 song ‘Zazoo Zeh’ did not determine his success.
