Super Falcons Coach Names 25 Players For Cameroon Friendlies

Super Falcons coach Justine Madugu has selected a 25-player squad for two friendly matches against Cameroon’s national women’s team in Yaounde. The matches are part of preparations for the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Morocco. 

The roster includes key players such as team captain Rasheedat Ajibade and goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie. The squad also features the return of midfielder Ngozi Okobi-Okeoghene and forward Gift Monday, who were away from international duty. 

England-based goalkeeper Comfort Erhabor has been called up for the first time and defender Chidinma Okeke also returns to the team. Other players named include defenders Osinachi Ohale, Michelle Alozie and Ashley Plumptre, midfielders Halimatu Ayinde, Christy Ucheibe and Jennifer Echegini, and forwards Esther Okoronkwo and Omorinsola Babajide. Midfielder Precious Christopher has also earned a maiden invitation.

The first friendly is scheduled for Saturday, February 28, followed by the second on Tuesday, March 3.
