Fubara Submits Commissioner-Nominees to Rivers Assembly After Peace Deal

The Rivers State House of Assembly says Governor Siminalayi Fubara has forwarded a fresh list of commissioner nominees. The Clerk of the House, Emeka Amadi, confirmed this in a statement released on Tuesday.

The governor nominated nine individuals in what is believed to be the first batch. They include Datonye Alasia, Tonye Bellgam, Temple Nwofor, Peters Nwagor, Charity Deemua and Tamuno Williams. Others are Lekue Kenneth, Otonye Amachree and Amairigha Hart.

The Assembly has directed the nominees to submit 40 copies of their curriculum vitae, credentials and proof of tax compliance. All documents are to be delivered to the Office of the Clerk at the Assembly Quarters.
