The United Nations says up to 3.2 million people have been displaced across Iran since the United States and Israel launched military strikes on the country on February 28.
The UN refugee agency says the displaced population represents between 600,000 and one million households. Many people are reportedly fleeing Tehran and other major cities to northern and rural areas in search of safety.
Iranian officials say more than 1,300 people have been killed in the strikes so far. Tehran has accused the United States and Israel of targeting civilian sites, including schools and hospitals, although the two countries say their attacks are aimed at military and nuclear facilities.

Iran has responded by launching missiles and drones at United States bases and other sites across the Middle East, while also shutting down the Strait of Hormuz, a key global oil route, raising concerns about potential disruptions to energy supplies.
