Israeli strikes kill 3 People in southern Lebanon despite US-Iran deal

Israeli air strikes in southern Lebanon have killed at least three people, according to Lebanese state media, despite a newly signed United States-Iran interim agreement calling for an end to hostilities on all fronts, including Lebanon.

Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA) said on Thursday that an Israeli drone strike hit a car near the town of Kfar Tebnit, killing two people. It also reported a separate strike in Zabadin that killed one person, while another attack in Beit Yahoun wounded two people.

The strikes come amid reports of continued Israeli military activity in southern Lebanon, with the Israeli army releasing a map showing its positions inside Lebanese territory along a so-called “Yellow Line”, which extends about 10 kilometres into the country.
