At least 13 people have been killed and several others abducted after gunmen attacked a wedding celebration in Kahir village in Kagarko Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Police have confirmed the incident, which happened at about 11:47 p.m. on Sunday, and say investigations are ongoing to determine the number of people taken by the attackers.
A community leader, Musa Adamu, said the gunmen arrived in large numbers and opened fire on guests at the venue. Several people were injured and taken to the General Hospital in Kagarko, with more serious cases referred to facilities in Kaduna.

Residents say the attackers operated for nearly an hour, looting shops before fleeing. Police say a manhunt has begun to track down those responsible for the attack.
