Former Big Brother Naija winner Josephine Otabor, known as Phyna, says she remains single because Nigerian men are intimidated by confident and independent women. She made the claim during a livestream on Twitch.
Phyna said many men prefer women they can control and tend to avoid outspoken and independent partners. She added that expressive women are often judged on their social media presence even before being met in person.
The reality star said she is not bothered by the trend and will not change her personality to suit expectations. She described herself as a “10 over 10” and said she is comfortable with who she is.

Phyna added that while assumptions are often made about her character online, she remains focused on living authentically rather than adjusting to fit relationship expectations.
