Inter Milan Clinch Serie A Title With 2-0 Victory Over Parma

Inter Milan have won their third Serie A title in six seasons after securing a comfortable 2-0 win over Parma at San Siro Stadium on Sunday. Marcus Thuram’s side-footed finish just before half-time set Inter on their way before Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s second-half goal put the Scudetto beyond doubt for the home side. With three matches left in the season, Inter now hold a 12-point lead over reigning champions Napoli and 15 more points than third-placed AC Milan.

This marks the 21st Italian title for Inter, who have successfully overcome the traumatic end to the previous season under the guidance of coach Cristian Chivu. The coach was almost a novice at this level when he took over last summer, but has since breathed new life into the side with small, deliberate steps.

The victory comes less than a year after the club lost the 2025 title race by a point and suffered a humiliating 5-0 defeat by Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final. The team has successfully bounced back from that disappointment to reclaim their position at the top of Italian football.

Inter can still complete the third league and cup double in their history if they manage to beat Lazio in the Coppa Italia final on May 13 at the Olympic Stadium in Rome. The team will be looking to add that trophy to their Serie A title to cap off what has been a remarkable turnaround season.
