Asisat Oshoala scored a hat trick on Thursday to send Al Hilal into the final of the Saudi Women’s Cup. Oshoala found the net in the 22nd, 55th, and 78th minutes of the semifinal match played at the King Fahd International Stadium in Riyadh. Al Hilal defeated Al Nassr 4 to 1, with the fourth goal coming from Brazilian midfielder Rafaelle Souza. Oshoala’s performance earned her the player of the match award.
The 31-year-old forward, who joined Al Hilal in September 2025 from Spanish club Barcelona, now has 14 goals in all competitions this season. After the match, Oshoala told Saudi Sports Channel that the team had studied Al Nassr’s defensive weaknesses and executed the game plan perfectly. Al Hilal’s head coach, Mr. Jürgen Gritsch, praised Oshoala’s movement and finishing, calling her a complete striker.
Al Hilal will face Al Ittihad in the final scheduled for May 22 at the same venue. Al Ittihad advanced to the final after a 2 to 0 win over Al Shabab on Wednesday. The Saudi Women’s Cup is in its fourth season and has grown rapidly in visibility since the Saudi Arabian Football Federation began fully supporting women’s club football in 2023.
