The Super Eagles have retained 26th position in the latest men’s FIFA World Rankings released on Thursday, the Federation of International Football Associations said.
The ranking follows a series of recent international fixtures under head coach Éric Chelle, including a 2–0 win over Zimbabwe and a 3–0 victory against Jamaica at the Unity Cup invitational tournament in London last month. Nigeria also drew 2–2 with Poland in Warsaw before losing 2–1 to Portugal in Leiria on Wednesday night.
FIFA’s update also confirmed that Nigeria remain third in Africa behind Morocco and Senegal, while Algeria and Egypt complete the continent’s top five teams.
