Adams Oshiomole Faces N20 Billion Lawsuits Over Comments Made On The Planwell Scheme

The candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for the September 21 governorship election in Edo State, Asue Ighodalo, has sued Senator Adams Oshiomhole for N20 billion in a defamation suit over comments he made on the Planwell scheme.

Mr Ighodalo, through his counsel, Ayo Asala & Associates, also sought an immediate and unqualified retraction and apology for what he alleges are false, defamatory, and malicious comments which should be published in at least two National Television Networks and three nationally circulating newspapers.

According to his counsel, Senator Oshiomhole, at a campaign rally of the APC on Saturday, September 14, 2024, made statements to the effect that Mr Ighodalo was associated with, or participated in an alleged pyramid scheme known as ‘PLANWELL’ in which numerous Nigerians were defrauded of their hard-earned funds.
