Air Peace Chairman Allen Onyema has claimed that Nigerians pay the cheapest domestic airfares in the world. He said while speaking on aviation costs and operations.
According to Onyema, airlines in Nigeria face high operational expenses, including fuel and maintenance. Despite this, he said fares remain comparatively low.
He attributed the situation to intense competition and regulatory pressures. Onyema said airlines often operate under financial strain.

The Air Peace chairman called for policy reforms to support local carriers stressing that sustainability is crucial for the aviation sector.
